Script:

Hey this is Mike McCready, your host on episode 71 of The Hookblast Podcast and we are now half way through June.  Half way…  that’s what you get when you cross the Atlantic with the Titanic.  True story.

What?  Too soon?

OK. This is the podcast where we discover a few new catchy songs. You add the ones you love to your streaming playlists and you DO NOT stalk the artists…..  at least that’s what I’ve been told…. actually I have the court order to prove it.

Vote for your favorite song on today’s episode by navigating to episode 71 at Hookblast.com. The song with the most votes two weeks ago on episode 69 was Heart Problem by Caroline Dare.

OK.  Let’s play some hooks.

I want to introduce you to the artist behind this Eye Of The Tiger, go-gett’em intro you’re hearing behind me….  b-but she’s not here so I’ll just tell you her name is Kayscend and this is her song about resilience, and believe me, I know about resilience.   If you keep at it long enough, you WILL get that court order.

This is Not An Option.

OK.  Passing that song by without adding it to your playlists is Not An Option….hehehehe…. did you see what I did there… I just came up with that on on the fly….  I guess that’s what makes me the best podcast host. Oh and that reminds me, making this far through this episode without subscribing to the podcast is also not an option. Behind that is a song by It’s Ev.  It’s her debut single which she says she wrote in under an hour.

This is This Time

That’s a nice track.  You can just get lost in that. The Hookblast Podcast is brought to you by Music Xray.  Music Xray is the bees knees!!  Or as I like to say… The spider’s shoulders. That ants mandíbula. The houseflies hummus.  I could go on and on, but like they all said in the elevator, just shut up Mike. Just shut up. We don’t even know you.

Anyway, Music Xray is where the industry goes to find new high-potential songs and talent. New artist users who want to have their music licensed into TV, movies, advertisements, and even video games and podcasts can apply promo code hookblast 21 at checkout.

For our next hook, we’ve got ASAZN with his song, Boost, featuring Rastaa…. Around my house I’m known as the Assassin….  Well, actually my wife says I really know how to kill… you know, the buzz.  Kill the buzz.

Fans of Migos and other high-octane energy rappers will love this song. You can even work out to it.

That’s ASAZN with Boost.

Speaking of assassins,  our apartment in New York has a terrace and I’m always worried that’s how the ninjas are going to break in so I suggested we get a dog. But then I overheard my wife saying she doesn’t want to walk a dog twice a day with POOP BAGS. I don’t when she started calling me that but I see her point. Everyone needs some alone time.

You’re listening to  I Got Nowhere to Go by George Dooley. It’s a song about leaving your corporate-life behind and finding a new one on the beach…  I know something about that. I too used to have a corporate-life behind but now I have the behind of someone who sat around or more than a year during the pandemic.

This next song is fun and quirky… some people call me quirky cuz I have the heart of a lion… but all that got me was a lifetime ban at the zoo.

This is Korggi with I’m Free.

OK. That’s Korggi with I’m Free.   That’s all the time we have for episode 71.  Please remember that, based on my personal experience, side effects of The Hookblast Podcast are fairly common, and include headache, vomiting, dysentery,  mild heart explosions, virginity, darkened soul, gender impermanence, more vomiting, and a 40% chance of showers. Add the songs you loved today to your streaming playlists. All songs are used with the permission of the rights holders and I’ll catch you right back here next week with a fresh batch of new hooks…. And a startling announcement about my upcoming canceled vacation. Bye Bye.
